Effective Teacher Coaching
Change is hard. Your time is limited. How do you make sure your feedback to teachers is really helping?
Too often leaders and teachers spend time engaging in coaching that might "feel" good but does not lead to improved performance. Whether you are an experienced school leader, an aspiring instructional coach, or give feedback to teachers in any capacity, this 1-day workshop will help you maximize results through effective coaching. Learn how to...
- Quickly identify and prioritize areas for improvement
- Deliver direct, actionable feedback
- Build a culture focused on growth
"This workshop provided our team with practices and tools that we can implement right away. It is aligned with everything we believe about teaching and learning and was chock full of incredibly helpful content." -workshop participant
A lot of time and money is spent on professional development that doesn't lead to meaningful changes in teaching and learning. Based on over a decade of training and coaching teachers as well as research into effective adult learning, Match has developed an approach to professional development that sticks. Our approach is grounded in the habits of highly effective instruction with an emphasis on practicing, not just discussing, how to improve in the classroom. This workshop shares our approach to professional development with the goal of helping instructional leaders design and lead professional development that gets teachers practicing the skills of effective instruction. This workshop is intended for anyone who either leads or oversees professional development.
